
Jordan’s al-Arab al-Yawm wrote: 5,000 French mayors signed a declaration calling for the end of the siege and blockage imposed on Ashraf City in Iraq. The signatories of this declaration, from various political parties, described Ashraf as their sister city and the symbol of the Iranian people’s democratic demands.
They also requested from the UN Secretary General “to announce illicit, any type of mandatory displacement of the residents inside Iraq or the use of violence against them.”
