Italy’s Senate vice-chairwoman met with Mrs. Rajavi, reaffirmed the need for de-listing PMOI

Mrs. Emma Bonino, Italy’s Senate vice-chairwoman, met and discussed with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi at Mrs. Rajavi’s residence in Rome.
Mrs. Emma Benino has been member of Italian Parliament since 33 years ago and also a member of European Parliament and one of the most prominent human rights defender in Europe and the world. In this meeting Mrs. Elizabetta Zamparutti, Italian MP and Mr. Sergio D’Elia, chairman of the human rights organization of ’Hands off Cain’ were also present.
Mrs. Rajavi described the latest events of the Iranian situation and referred to the increasing violation of human rights and execution of 29 prisoners on the anniversary of massacre of 30,000 political prisoners and said, “The unjust terrorist label on the Iranian Resistance has been an efficient pretext for justification of execution, torture and murder by the Iranian regime.” She added, “The clerical regime tries to carry out various conspiracies and crimes against the PMOI members residing in Ashraf City under the pretext of illegal and unjust terrorist label.
While expressing her concern over deterioration of the human rights in Iran, Mrs. Bonino congratulated Mrs. Rajavi for the victory at the British courts and the approval of both Houses of that country in de-proscribing the PMOI and added: “After removal of the PMOI from the British list, keeping them in the EU terrorist list is totally unjustified. She also expressed her deep concern over the dire situation of human rights in Iran and emphasized on the necessity of a decisive stance against the Iranian regime.
