In an open letter to Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini, MPs Carlo Ciccioli and Elisabetta Zamparutti, co-chairs of the Italian Parliamentary Committee for a Free Iran, signified the subject of violence against Camp Ashraf residents.
Ciccoli and Zamparutti also called for intervention by the Italian Parliament and Senate to implement the proper humanitarian protection promised to Ashraf residents.
