Italy Radical Party holds conference in Rome in support of Iranian global hunger strike

INTV, 26 Oct 2013 – Over 40 Italian MPs and former foreign minister Giulio Terzi joined other international dignitaries from various countries in their call for the release of the seven Ashrafi hostages.
In a press conference held in the Italy Radical Party headquarters in Rome a number of party members, along with members of the Hands Off Cain organization and the No Peace Without Justice Association, supported the call issued by the National Council of Resistance of Iran for the release of the seven Ashrafi hostages, including six women.
These seven individuals were arrested by Iraqi armed forces during an attack against Camp Ashraf on September 1st. In this operation 52 people were killed collectively with shots to their heads.
According to the latest news received the seven hostages are held in an area near Baghdad airport and their lives are seriously in danger.
A statement issued says there is the threat of these hostages being extradited to Iran where they will be facing the most vicious tortures and execution.
