Italy: Conference in solidarity with Iranian Resistance women

Italy – Pie Monte Province
Pie Monte Governorate Council Human Rights Society

A conference was held in the Intellectuals Club of Torino, capital of Italy’s Pie Monte Province in solidarity with the Iranian Resistance and 1,000 Ashrafi women. In this gathering numerous Italian political and human rights dignitaries took part, including Elizabetta Zamparutti, member of Italian Parliament from the Radical Party and co-chairman of the Italian Committee of Parliamentarians and Citizens for Iran Freedom.

All the personalities in this conference delivered speeches expressing their support for the Iranian people and Resistance, especially the struggle of the Iranian women for freedom and equality. The participants also backed the plans of the National Council of Resistance of Iran and its President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.

The Pie Monte Governorate Council Human Rights Society finalized the conference by issuing a resolution citing the condemnations of the clerical regime by the UN for its gross human rights violations and brutal executions. This resolution went on to also strongly condemn the mullahs’ plots against Ashraf and Liberty residents and Iran’s role in the massacre of the Syrian people.

Taking into consideration the plans presented by the National Council of Resistance of Iran and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, this resolution calls on the Italian government and European Union to support and recognize the Iranian Resistance and Mrs. Rajavi’s 10-point plan that defends universal values. This resolution also called for the referral of the mullahs’ inhumane crimes dossier to the UN Security Council and for Iran’s officials to be brought to justice. This resolution continues by stressing Italy and the EU should support the rights of Ashraf and Liberty residents and back the recognition of Liberty as a refugee camp by the UN and UNHCR.
