Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance met with Italian Parliament’s speaker, Gianfranco Fini.

In his meeting with Mrs. Rajavi that took place in the parliament, the Italian Parliament’s speaker welcomed her and emphasized that the Italian people and the parliament are standing by the Iranian people and Resistance for achieving democracy and human rights.

In this meeting, Mrs. Rajavi elaborated on the growing situation of the Resistance, situation of the Iranian regime at its final stage and the danger of the terrorist religious dictatorship for the regional and international peace and emphasized on increasing dissatisfaction of the Iranian society with the religious despotism and also the resoluteness of the Iranian people for achieving freedom and democracy.

The meeting of Mrs. Rajavi and the Italian Parliament speaker was covered by the Italian and foreign media. The Italian Channel 2 TV broadcasted a report on Mrs. Rajavi’s trip to Italy, her meeting with Mr. Fini, the declaration issued by Italian Parliament’s majority in support of the Iranian Resistance and the press conference of Mrs. Rajavi and Parliament representatives in La Stampa Hall.

The Austrian News Agency (APA) reported: Gianfranco Fini, Italian Parliament speaker, met with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. Rajavi asked Italy to take measures for removing PMOI off the Europe’s proscribed list and asserted that this step has a determining implication for democratic change in Iran.
