The Italian Committee of Parliamentarians and Citizens for a free Iran, jointly chaired by MPs Carlo Ciciolli and Elizabetta Zamparotti issued a statement expressing their disgust and condemnation regarding the execution of two political prisoners by the Iranian regime.
“The execution of these individuals proves the PMOI’s role as the main resistance organizations for change in Iran and once again shows the true bloodthirsty and completely deceitful nature of the mullahs’ regime,” this statement reads.
“The international community, especially the Italian government and European Union, must immediately carry out all the sanctions against this regime and end their diplomatic relations so that it will be made completely clear that any negotiations are conditioned on bringing an end to systematic violations of human rights.”
