Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council announced a 5-man investigation delegation has made a decision regarding the case of Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi. This council said that this investigation, carried out by a single judge, will be conducted once again from the very beginning.
In its statement, the Supreme Judicial Council added this decision is to ensure the honesty of the investigation. This council stressed that al-Hashemi is considered innocent regarding the allegations raised against him until his role is proven.
