An al-Iraqiya slate Parliament member criticized Iraqi government for its inhumane treatment of Camp Liberty residents and urged the government to ask help from civil organizations to support their rights, Donya al-Wattan, Palestinian Website reported.
In an interview, Ifaf Abdul Razzaq, Iraqiya MP, said: we have to support our brothers in Camp Liberty and Syrian refugees as well. She added: “They are under pressure in Iraq; Camp Liberty refugees’ issue is UN responsibility.” She also “called on Iraqi government and civil organizations to support the residents”.
Abdul Razzaq said: when the Ashraf residents were in Ashraf and Syrians came to Iraq, the Iraqi government announced that it did not hold the resources to accommodate them, so if the Iraqi government is not capable of supporting them we can ask human rights and juridical organizations to provide help for these people.
