
INTV, 23 Oct 2013 – Prominent Iraqi dignitaries are sending messages of solidarity to hunger strikers of Camp Liberty.
Dr. Abdolrazaq al-Shemeri, spokesman of the Ramadi protest camp said, “The seven abducted PMOI members are in the custody of the Iraqi government. The international community must hold the Iraqi government accountable. We the Iraqi people, as you are hearing in the protest camps, say to the Iraqi government and the entire international community the PMOI must be treated evenly and their rights respected because they are refugees and refugees must not face such pressures and aggressions.
“The international community must rise to its responsibility and hold the Iraqi government accountable for the September 1 attack against Ashraf. The seven hostages are in the government’s custody. Truly the protests staged by our struggling brothers in Liberty are their right and therefore the Iraqi government and international community – with the UN topping the list – must intervene.”

Abdolghader Nael, spokesman of the Ramadi demonstrations expressed his support for the Liberty hunger strikers:
“I hail Camp Liberty residents and the PMOI from the protest camps in the uprising al-Anbar Province. The Liberty residents are an example for all heroes with their patience and perseverance, and paving the path of victory and freedom of Iran from the hands of the mullahs’ regime. There is no doubt in the final victory of the PMOI, and Iran in the future after it is rid of the dictatorial rulers will be a major player in the regime. Thus, I hail you men and women and ask God to protect and support you and all your efforts in the point of victory. This will take place with the support of God Almighty.”
