Iraqi tribal sheikh councils, along with civil and human rights organizations across the country issued statements condemning the joint plot of the Iraqi government and Iranian regime aimed at plundering Ashraf and Liberty residents’ property.

Neinawa Sheikhs Council and tribal leaders
We condemn Martin Kobler’s remarks on Ashraf residents departing Ashraf by November 29th and leave their property behind. We consider this an Iraqi government conspiracy in flagrant collaboration with Martin Kobler to gain the consent of Iran’s mullahs and plunder PMOI’s property.

Sawaleh tribe sheikhs
We call on the UN Secretary-General to provide a guarantee for the selling of Ashraf residents’ property and prevent PMOI’s assets being stolen in Ashraf. Furthermore, he should bring an end to the pressures and restrictions imposed on Liberty residents and recognize Liberty as a refugee camp.

Ubaid tribe
Among the articles of the agreement of PMOI’s transfer from Ashraf to Liberty was their right to sell their assets or transfer them to a third country. However, the Iraqi government now intends to steal their facilities, moveable and immovable properties. This is why the UN must intervene and allow the residents to sell their property.

Iraqis Friendship and Solidarity Association with Iranian People
Martin Kobler’s remarks on Ashraf residents’ property are in violation of UN officials’ stances and also his own commitments in guaranteeing the residents’ rights and property based on international laws.

Mosul University Students Association
We call on the UN Secretary-General to take urgent action to respect the rights of Ashraf residents allowing them to sell their property and assets based on international and Iraqi Civil Law, and declare Liberty as a refugee camp.

Kadhimiya Freedom Lovers Society
Martin Kobler was never a supporter of Iranian refugees’ interests in Camp Ashraf and Liberty, acting in favor of the Iraqi government and therefore we request him to be replaced with another individual.

Center of Brotherhood and Friendship
We have been recently informed of the plot to plunder Ashraf residents’ property and assets by the Iraqi government with the collaboration of Martin Kobler, and we call on the UN to replace Kobler with an impartial individual.
