Iraqi National Movement supports the call of over 1,460,000 Iraqi citizens

Statement of Iraqi National Movement
23 December 2011

The Iraqi society vocally denounces any persecution, killing and inhumane siege of the Ashraf residents. The sons of Iraq courageously announced that dissidents of the Iranian regime cannot be oppressed under the name of Iraqis. Our great nation, in its letters and statements, has emphasized this downright fact that the repression, harassment and expulsion of Ashraf residents is an Iranian regime demand which has nothing to do with Iraqi sovereignty.
The organization of the Iraqi National Movement in the provinces of Baghdad, Diyala, Anbar, Salahaddin, Ninawa, Kirkuk, Central Forat and the southern provinces, while acknowledging this popular mobilization and supporting its demands, has cooperated with the Iraqi National Tribal Council – being the originator of the national, humane and brave act – in gathering signatures, and draws the attention of the international community and UN officials to the demands mentioned in the declaration, especially the UN forces providing the protection of Ashraf residents.
