INTV, 10 Oct 2013 – Iraqi MP Ahmed al-Alwani, Chairman of the Parliament Economy Commission, sent a message of support to Camp Liberty on hunger strike.
“We announce our solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Camp Liberty. We will never abandon them and with all our might we will place all our efforts to find the seven hostages that Maliki’s government has abducted with collaboration of Iran’s militants,” he said.
 “You and us are in a united front against cruelty and dictatorship. You must continue your struggle and we too will continue our struggle shoulder to shoulder with you. Only you and us are standing against the projects that unfortunately all have sectarian approaches and are anti-human rights. The goal of these projects is to destroy our political independence. We are along your side. Be strong in the face of all the hardships you are facing and God willing victory is near.”
