Iraqi MP Hamid Adel Bafi from the Kurdistan Coalition called on the Parliament Human Rights Commission and civil organizations to visit Camp Liberty to become informed of the camp conditions. Bafi also called for cooperation to provide adequate temporary living conditions for PMOI members residing in Ashraf until the finalization of their transfer process to third countries.
In a press release he expressed his opposition to any intervention by neighboring countries in Iraq’s internal affairs, emphasizing “political decisions must be taken by Baghdad and not any other capital, especially since the Iraqi people will not accept meddling in their internal affairs from any countries from Iran or others…”
