Al-Babelyia TV: Sheikh Khalaf bin-Jabr of the Iraqi National Tribal Council in Diyala said, “Over half a million residents of Diyala Province called on the United Nations to assume the responsibility to protect Camp Ashraf.”
Al-Rafidain TV: The Iraqi National Tribal Council in Diyala issued a statement warning on participating in attacks against PMOI members and calling on Iraqi Army forces to stop aiming their weapons at Ashraf residents.
Azzaman daily: At the end of their conference, the tribes called on national and independent parties, MPs and religious leaders to protest against what they described as the April 8th crime and not allow the government to continue its crimes against Ashraf to gain further support from the Iranian reigme.
Al-Mashreq daily: Over half a million people in Diyala Province called on the UN to assume protection of Camp Ashraf.
Baghdad daily: In the meantime, the Publicity Advisor of the Diyala Province Governor called for a comprehensive solution for the issue of Ashraf residents far from political pressures.
