Iraqi media cover NCRI statement on 6th convoy moving to Liberty

Iraqi media have aired numerous reports on the NCRI’s statement announcing the 6th convoy of 400 Ashraf residents preparing to transfer to Liberty later this week.

Opposition organization People’s Mojahedin of Iran issued a statement today at the behest of NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi announcing its readiness to transfer another group from Camp Ashraf to Camp Liberty as a goodwill gesture. This group, consisting of 400 residents, will depart Ashraf on August 23rd.
The UN welcomed this announcement and Special Representative to the Secretary-General Martin Kobler issued a press release calling on the Iraqi government to show generosity regarding the humanitarian needs of Ashraf and Liberty residents.

After many delays that lasted months, the opposition organization People’s Mojahedin of Iran announced its readiness for the transfer of another group of Camp Ashraf residents to Camp Liberty near Baghdad.
NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi issued a statement announcing the sixth convoy will depart on August 23rd. Maryam Rajavi said mutually it is expected from the US to once again reiterate its commitments towards this organization, meaning delisting its name from the list of terrorist groups and resolving humanitarian matters in Camp Liberty.
