Iraqi MP Ala Talabani from the Kurdish coalition urged humanitarian treatment towards Camp Ashraf residents until an adequate solution is found for this dossier.
“The presence of Iranian refugees residing in Camp Ashraf in Iraq is based on international laws and under no circumstances can these international laws and conventions be breached,” this MP said in an interview with the Iraqi NINA news agency.
“This case is among the human rights cases that must be treated based on laws and in line with human rights principles,” Ms. Ala Talabani added.
“It is necessary to treat Camp Ashraf residents be treated in humanitarian manners and based on international laws and customs due to the fact that they are political refugees and their rights must not be violated,” she added.
