At Tehran’s Friday prayer on December 12, 2008, The mullah Ahmad Khatami, member of the Iranian regime’s board of Assembly of Experts, attacked Dr. Muhammad al-Sayyed Tantawi, Al-Azhar Grand Sheikh, the highest religious Scholar of Sunnis, for his support of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) and Ashraf City and said: ’The Al-Azhar Sheikh has a black record with regard to Islamic Iran. A while ago, he supported the PMOI. I say to this sheikh; do you know who the PMOI are? I announce as a religious teacher and as a member of the supreme council of the Qom seminary that Sheikh of al-Azhar, with his stance, has partaken in all crimes.
