Iranians rally in London, Copenhagen, and Washington against Ashraf siege

Iranians rally in London, Copenhagen, and Washington against Ashraf siege

The comprehensive demonstrations of Iranians and families of the Ashraf residents against imposed pressures dictated by the Iranian regime on Ashraf residents continued in front of the Iraqi embassies in London, Copenhagen and Washington.
In Washington, the Iranians held demonstration outside the White House and asked for guarantee of Ashraf residents based on international conventions.

In Copenhagen, the rally participants chanted “Iraqi government must respect the EP resolution” and” Shame on conspiracy” and asked the Iraqi government to implement the European Parliament resolution regarding legal rights of Ashraf residents.

In London, 61st day of demonstration of Iranians and relatives of Ashraf residents was held in front of the Iraqi embassy. The demonstrators carried placards and chanted slogans denouncing conspiracies of the clerical regime against Ashraf residents and asked for removing of restrictions dictated by the Iranian regime and guarantee of the Ashraf residents’ rights according to international laws and conventions and implementation of the EP resolution.
Sattar Laqaii, Iranian writer and journalist delivered his speech in the demonstration and called Ashraf City “The city of honor and proud for all freedom-loving Iranians and for any author and intellectual”.

In Washington, supporters of the Resistance and families of Ashraf residents rallied in front of Iraqi embassy and asked for lifting restrictions on Ashraf residents.

Also Iranians held their 110th day of demonstration outside the White House on Monday to protest illegal restrictions against Ashraf. In this demonstration a message from the Ashraf residents’ families was read out. Referring the letter of 503 European parliamentarians to President Obama, they asked the US President to annul the unjust terrorist designation against the PMOI as soon as possible. They also asked the United States to recognize the just resistance of Iranian people for freedom.

During this demonstration an exhibition about the regime’s violation of human rights was set up.
