Iranian Resistance President-elect Saluted the brave students who stood against the religious fascism by staging demonstration in Tehran University

Despite the most unprecedented suppressive and security measures by the Iranian regime, more than 3,000 students whose numbers were escalating continuously, started their demonstration at Tehran University to mark Iran’s ’Student Day’, chanting anti-government slogans such as ” Death to Dictator”.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the Iranian Resistance, saluted the brave students who staged this demonstration and added that today a single slogan is cried from all universities across the country and that is the cry of freedom of the Iranian people and rejection of the velayat-e faqih rule in Iran.

The demonstrating students in front of Tehran University, who had come from different cities and universities, chanted: “Death to Dictator”, “Ahmadinejad, Cause of Prejudice and Corruption”, ” “Students are willing to die but not accept humiliation,” and ” detained student must be released”.

In solidarity with Tehran University students, other students from Ahwaz, Hamedan Mazandaran, Isfahan, Arak, Shahr Kord, Khorram-Abad, Ilam, Sari, Kurdistan and Kermanshah had come to Tehran and joined the demonstrators.

The demonstrating students passed the security and disciplinary forces who had surrounded the University, broke the main entrance gate and entered the University.

The students, who were carrying the pictures of their detained classmates, neglected the threats and assaults of the regime’s mercenaries and continued their demonstration.

They were also carrying a placard saying “Women’s Rights is equal to Human Rights.”

Regime agents lined up a number of buses between the demonstrators and the people in order to prevent them from joining the demonstrators and even watching them.

The regime’s suppressive forces in fear of the expansion of the demonstrations, arrested a number of demonstrators in different cities

The night before the demonstration, the state media broadcasted news on the extensive and suppressive arrests of the students to prevent them from marking Students Day.

In their final declaration, the students announced: “We want this fascist regime to be destroyed. We cry: Release our class-mates!”
