Mehr, the Iranian regime’s state-run news agency, in an article on 29 June 2008, unveiled the regime‘s latest conspiracy against the PMOI and revealed its intention to create a human catastrophe in Iraq. The article, which is part of regime’s new wave of misinformation and demonizing campaign against the Iranian Resistance, accuses the PMOI of “massacring 150 thousand Iraqi Shiites” and unveils the regime’s plot for mass killing the residents of Ashraf by saying, “This will prompt the people of Iraq to launch actions in future to confront this group’s crimes and to put an end on the presence of this terrorist group in Iraq for ever”.
Undoubtedly, this plot is the reaction of the mullahs’ regime ruling Iran to de-proscribing the PMOI in UK.

Following is excerpts of the article by Mehr News Agency (Iran’s state-run) on 29 June 2008:

“The UK and the EU Parliament efforts for removing the PMOI terrorist group from the list of terrorist organizations revealed the hypocritical nature of the West.

The PMOI leaders, whose crimes against the people of Iran over past three decades are completely evident, must be handed over to Iran’s judiciary authorities by the EU member countries to investigate their crimes. However, the EU proved that it exploits the terrorists for pursuing its goals.

The PMOI terrorist group had a significant role in suppressing the people of Iraq’s southern provinces in 1991 during southern Shiites’ uprising against Saddam’s regime, during which PMOI massacred 150 thousand Iraqi Shiites in cooperation with Iraq’s Republican Guard.

Today, the PMOI, under the support of the West and the United States, creates insecurity for the people of Iraq and other peoples in the region. This will prompt the people of Iraq to launch actions in future to confront this group’s crimes and to put an end on the presence of this terrorist group in Iraq for ever.

Hypocritical measures of the EU parliament in removing the PMOI terrorist group from the list of terrorist organizations will definitely threaten the world’s security and will encourage other terrorist groups for creating insecurity and committing more terrorist actions. “
