On the sixteenth day of the Iranians’ Geneva sit-in for defense of the Ashraf Residents, Sheikh Muhammas al-Haj Hassan, head of the Lebanon’s Association of Free Shiites delivered speech and said: I salute you on behalf of myself and the resistant Lebanon that has been torn out by Iran’s barbaric mullahs. After seeing your pains and sufferings, I realized the nature of the Iranian regime and I ask all Shiites to reject the evil thinking of Khomeini.

Sheikh Muhammas al-Haj Hassan said: Ashraf is the city of peace, we announce in front of the UN headquarter that the protection of Ashraf is under US commitment as long as the US forces are in Iraq, I announce the Arab governments that the Iranian regime headed by Khamenei and Ahmadinejad is a cancer in the world’s society.

Dr. Karim Qassim, chairman of the NCRI’s Environmental Committee, was the next speaker who said: Our Ashraf friends! The world is aware where we have stood, we have a legal and legitimate status.

On the same day, seven delegations on behalf of the sit-in participants referred to UNHCR and UNHCHR offices and US representation in Geneva and informed them of the sit-in participants’ demands.
