
The sit-in of Iranians and relatives of Ashraf residents continued for the 62nd day outside of the United Nation’s building in New York with participation of Iranian Resistance’s supporters from California, Tennessee, Canada, Texas, New York, Virginia and New Jersey.
In her speech, Mrs. Nassrin Saifi, member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said: “Unanimous with Geneva sit-in participants, we ask the UN and its Secretary General to abide by the Geneva Conventions regarding Ashraf residents”.
Then the message of the “American Committee in Support of Ashraf” and” Association of Iranian Specialists, supporters of PMOI in Ottawa” in support of Ashraf residents were read.
The next speaker was representative of “Association of the Iranian community in Virginia” who emphasized the continuation of the sit-in until guarantee of Ashraf City protection and Ashraf residents’ rights are met.
Then a mother whose son was martyred at the age of 17 by the mullahs’ regime read a poem in commemoration of the PMOI member Abdol-Reza Rajabi, who was recently killed under torture, and his seven years of resistance in the Iranian prisons.
