The clerical regime expressed its fear of the presence of Maryam Rajavi in Italy and support of majority of Italy’s parliament of the Iranian Resistance by summoning the Italian ambassador to Tehran.

The Iranian English language State-run TV said: Iran summons the Italian ambassador to protest a meeting between a Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO) leader and Italian lawmakers.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry summoned Ambassador Roberto Toscano on Wednesday to demand explanation about a meeting between leader of the MKO Masoud Rajavi’s wife and some Italian parliament members in Rome.

During the meeting, Mostafa Dolatyar, a senior foreign ministry official, condemned the move and described it as an act in violation of a decision by the European Union to put the group on the list of terrorist organizations.
