Addustoor daily (Jordan), 24 Dec 2012 – An international conference entitled “Iran Crisis and Solutions” chaired by European Parliament Vice President Alejo Vidal Quadras, held in Madrid at the invitation of the International Committee “In Search of Justice” – consisting of 4,000 MPs from both sides of the Atlantic – that began its work on December 19th, came to an end.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance participated in this conference. This conference in these few days discussed the human rights conditions in Iran, the nuclear crises, Tehran’s all-out support for the Syrian dictator, solutions and EU policies vis-à-vis Iran and the democratic opposition.
Participants in this conference condemned gross and systematic human rights violations in Iran, especially collective executions and the killing of political prisoners under torture, the siege and repressive pressures of the Iraqi government against Ashraf and Liberty residents, demanding the residents protection and fundamental rights – especially their ownership rights – be respected by the Iraqi government and Liberty to be recognized as a refugee camp.
The participants also condemned the stance taken by UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Iraq, Martin Kobler, in his remarks describing Liberty meeting humanitarian standards.
