Interview with Dr. Javad Ahmadi, brother of slain Liberty resident Ali Ahmadi

Al-Babeliya TV on February 13th conducted an interview with Dr. Javad Ahmadi, an Ashraf resident and leading physician of Ashraf residents, on the death of his brother Ali Ahmadi in the recent Liberty missile attack.

Dr. Javad Ahmadi: During the past 26 years I have been the surgeon physician of Ashraf residents. One of the Liberty residents severely wounded in the Iranian regime’s missile attack against Camp Liberty was my brother where missile shrapnel struck his head and he went into coma.
For two days I spoke with Iraqi forces six times and made many phone calls to UNAMI officials asking to see my brother, but it was all futile. The Iraqi government through UNAMI attempted to bribe me by informing me that the condition for me to see my brother is to transfer from Ashraf to Liberty Prison. This is while I am the only physician left in Ashraf for the residents. The condition they placed truly proves that they treat Ashraf and Liberty residents as prisoners. Such a condition, and taking my brother hostage in such a despicable manner, are totally against humane values and principles, leaving a doctor between family emotions and his professional duty. This is even against medical principles.
