According to Al-Malaf website, in a letter to US President-elect Obama, Dr. Redha al-Redha, secretary general of the Institution of Iraqi Shiite Jafariah, asked him to counter Iran’s nuclear program and terrorist activities.

He wrote: “European countries’ diplomacy for stopping the Iranian regime’s nuclear program has gone nowhere for the past six years. Iraq and the present world face a tough challenge because of the activities of evil axis and terrorist organizations that have been created by Iran’s religious dictatorship. The security and stability of the region face destruction; therefore your decisive decision in targeting Iran’s nuclear program and changing the Iranian regime by using the legitimate methods, particularly by removing of the people’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) from the terrorist list, would contribute to welfare, freedom and democracy for the people of Iran and Iraq and the region’s governments.”
