Information reveals Kobler involved in confiscating Ashraf property: Iraqi NGO

According to Iraqi News Agency (INA) an Iraqi human rights organization called on the United Nations to replace Martin Kobler as its envoy in Iraq, adding he is not assisting the peaceful and impartial trend in Iraq’s dossiers.
“Martin Kobler is using various cases with political motives,” Iraq Human Rights Organization spokesperson said in recent remarks.
“Kobler’s approach has created a concerning diplomacy for most human rights organizations in this country because he is using his post for illegitimate means,” he continued, adding “the Iraqi government was able to place this individual topping the list in administrative corruption.”
Most human rights organizations in Iraq are suspicious of Kobler as his actions in the Camp Liberty residents’ case show, he added.
“Information has been published among civil organizations in Baghdad showing Kobler’s involvement in confiscating Ashraf and Liberty residents’ property,” he continued.
He also insisted on the necessity to “impose urgent measures to replace Kobler and letters in this regard have been sent to Ban Ki-moon, the US Ambassador in Baghdad and the European Union.”
On other news, 40 tribal, civil organizations and associations and national and cultural societies, along with human rights organizations issued separate statements describing the Iraqi government’s conspiracy to confiscate and steal Ashraf residents’ property as in line with carrying out orders issued by the mullahs ruling Iran and in cooperation with Martin Kobler, calling on the UN Secretary-General to introduce a worthy representative to replace Martin Kobler.
