The participants in the Geneva sit-in outside the UN European Headquarters took part in their 285th consecutive day of protests, warning UN officials of Maliki’s plots against the peaceful solution to resolve the issue of Camp Ashraf in Iraq.
These protesters have tirelessly continued their sit-in for the past 285 days, and counting, demanding the UN High Commission for Refugees to initiate its interview with Ashraf residents for the reconfirmation of their refugee status. The protesters are asking the UN why it is succumbing to the stonewalling and deceptive measures carried out by Maliki’s regime and the religious fascism ruling Iran. The participants also stressed the UN must not approve Camp Liberty’s conditions, stressing the new location has actually been turned into a prison.
