In an interview with BBC World on the fight against ISIS, General Hugh Shelton, former Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said, “This is a terrific threat that must be addressed with a strategic plan, more than just a coalition of the willing. I think we need to pull together the NATO forces, the EU, everyone that has an interest, to include our allies in the Middle East, and have this strategic plan to go out for ISIS and kill it once and for all…we need to look at the moderates in the Middle East, to people like Mrs. Rajavi from the MEK who have a plan for Iran as an example, which by the way I think we need to be very skeptical of, even though they claim they are trying to assist now. They have their own agendas, and if there is one friend that ISIS has, I think you’d have to say it’s the greatest terrorist exporting nation in the world, and that is Iran.”
