International Reporter, New Delhi, India: May 18, 2012 – MIL/GBA – GBA, the Organizer of FAITH, Universal Modern Religion, which has a substantial honest following in the world for their social services to protect human rights and to help seek justice for the deserving,has urged United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon here today to honor the Human Rights for the Ashraf Refugees,who are being victimized openly by the Iraqi Govt. without any regard or respect for the United Nations, thereby defeating the main purpose of Human Rights.
The GBA humbly and respectfully seeks to know:” Whether is it not the human obligations of the United Nations to safeguard the human rights of these innocent people who are the Ashraf Residents, recently transferred to Liberty Camp?
Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Founder of “FAITH” Universal Modern Religion and President of God Believers Association (GBA), an NGO dedicated to unite all world religions and help cultivate a healthy balance between Religion and Science, between Human Rights and Justice apart from various activities to help prevent gross abuses to the Global Climatic Environment and World Peace among others, hereby resolve in their executive meeting held here today that the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon should be kind enough to issue proper directions immediately to safeguard the human interest of the Ashraf Residents who are being mercilessly killed under uncivilized pretexts, one or the other.
The main purpose of Human Rights with which the the United Nations is tinged is being miserably defeated, the Iraqi Govt. is openly violating all norms and committing all sorts of atrocities on the Ashraf Residents. The GBA humbly seeks an answer to this human concern: “How shall it come to an end and who will save these innocent and helpless people if United Nations ignore to save their lives?”
Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmic Theorist and Founder of “FAITH” Universal Modern Religion, further said in the house, “I on behalf of “FAITH”, Universal Modern Religion, who believes to respect all human rights, religions, positive systems of living and let others live peacefully, urge the United Nations Secretary General Mr.Ban Ki- Moon to safeguard the Human Rights of innocent Ashraf Residents wherever they are or shifted, they should be given the treatment like humans and not thrown away like rejected rotten meat.
It is really shocking why these acts are being allowed to Iraqi Govt. to suppress and terrorise the innocent and helpless people of Ashraf Residents, or why UN is so liberal by letting them to cause all sorts of inhuman atrocities over these innocent people who are unfortunately Ashfraf Residents, who can’t do anything else but to cry and cry with the hope that the UN might one day heed to their painful anguish.”
Resolution:
“The God Believers Association (GBA) in its executive committee meeting held here today in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Dr. (Swamy) Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist, Founder of “FAITH”, Universal Modern Religion, hereby resolve unanimously by expressing the deep concern regarding the continuous inhumane conditions of those Ashraf residents transferred to Camp Liberty in recent months. These residents at Camp Liberty are under continuous inhumane pressures and they are being deprived of even the minimum necessities of refugees” After reading out this clause, Dr.Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and Founder of “FAITH”. Universal Modern Religion and President of GBA said in a grieving voice: “I am shocked to think whether we are living in a civilized society?”
Dr. Raj Baldev, Cosmo Theorist and Lead Man of the GBA said, ” Our Organisation has also learnt that on April 20 a mechanized anti-riot force, with armored vehicles and heavy machineguns, was brought and stationed on all flanks of Camp Liberty and its police station.
“This act is reminiscent of Iraqi armored military vehicles brought into Camp Ashraf on 3 April 2011 which led to the ensuing massacre on April 8 where 36 Ashraf residents were killed. In previous massacres in Ashraf, 47 residents were killed and over 1,000 wounded. Preparation for another bloody suppression in the prison ironically called Camp “Liberty” seriously hampers any peaceful solution to Ashraf problem.
“The GBA and all followers of “FAITH”, Universal Modern Religion, submissively and respectfully urge you to take an urgent action in this regard and the implementation of the March 16 letter of your SRSG for Iraq to camp residents regarding the removal of armored vehicles and armed Iraqi forces from the camp.
“The infrastructure and basic needs such as water and electricity in Camp Liberty are critical and the Iraqi government stonewalls attempts to improve the situation. Endeavors by residents to connect Camp Liberty to the city-water pipeline at their own expense have also been ignored by the Iraqi government and it is easily predictable that with a surge in the number of residents at Camp Liberty and the hot season of Iraq ahead, this situation would quickly become intolerable.
“In addition to obstructing transfer of many essential items from Ashraf to Camp Liberty, in yet another inhumane act, the Iraqi government has prevented transfer of basic life necessities for the wounded and paralyzed to Camp Liberty. These individuals, with part of their bodies paralyzed are unable to walk and are on wheelchairs, see the unfortunate affair, the inhuman acts, who will take care of them if not United Nations?.
“Depriving the wounded and paraplegic patients from basic life-sustaining necessities and imposing pressure on them is, anywhere and by any standard, flagrant violation of International Humanitarian Law, international human rights law, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Fourth Geneva Convention, International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, as well as many other international covenants which Iraq is a party to violate freely.
“Although it is close to three months that many residents of Ashraf have been transferred to Camp Liberty, the inhumane siege on them that started two and a half years ago in Camp Ashraf is continued unabated in the new camp. What Ashraf residents have asked for in Camp Liberty is far less than their rightful legal rights and depriving them of these minimums tantamount to making them homeless.”
“The residents in Camp Liberty are very vulnerable and, given the volatile situation in Iraq and the influence of the Iranian regime, it is essential that the following two steps are taken by UNHCR as a matter of urgency: first, provision of international protection for the asylum seekers while they are in Camp Liberty; and second, expedition of the RSD and resettlement process.
“International protection can only be achieved by UNHCR formally declaring Camp Liberty a ‘refugee camp’.
“However, given the fact that the residents in Camp Liberty are all asylum seekers whose lives are in danger, it is vital that UNHCR take all necessary measures to protect the residents, and to this end, that as a deterrent measure it declare Camp Liberty to be a refugee camp.
“Under this resolution, the GBA and all followers of “FAITH, Universal Modern Religion, finally urge the UNSG to find out some peaceful, effective and immediate solution to this sensitive issue of Liberty residents or so-called Ashraf Residents. The resolution also endorses this resolution for Hon Antonio Guterres, the High Commissioner for Refugees,Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.”
