Senator Jean-Pierre Mitchell, member of French senate and one of the founders of French Judges Syndicate and Jean Philip Maurer, Member of Parliament from the ruling party called the recent elections in Iran illegitimate and asked for support of the Iranian people’s democratic demands against the mullahs’ religious fascism and removal of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) off the terrorist list.
In an article published in the French Parliamentary publication entitled “anti-democratic elections” they wrote: Was this election, as the governmental newspapers claim democratic? The European Union headed by the rotating presidency of Slovenia, in a statement released on March 17, answered that this election was neither free nor fair. Contrary to the official statements, the observers who were present at the scene report of the absolute boycott by the people. According to the main opposition PMOI’s networks at home that were able to evaluate about half of the poling stations, i.e. 25,000 stations, 95 percent of the people boycotted the elections; it seems everything indicate that the NCRI’s call for boycott has gained positive response.
