According to reports received from inside Iran, political prisoners of Ward 350 in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison expressed their support for the call issued by political prisoners of Gohardasht Prison (located in Karaj, west of Tehran) for the UN to dispatch a special representative to carry out an inspection on Iran’s prisons. Gohardasht Prison’s political prisoners had expressed their request in a letter to the UN Secretary General. They also announced their intention to conduct hunger strikes every week and on various occasions until their indisputable rights are observed.
