In a good-will initiative, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi made a courageous decision regarding the transfer of the sixth group of Ashraf residents to Liberty, which ended a deadlock.
We Egyptian Members of Parliament, while commending Mrs. Rajavi’s initiative, announce our support towards this step, which is a blow to the mullahs’ regime and foils their conspiracies.
Moreover, we call on international sides including the US, UN and EU to act to their responsibilities towards the residents in seeking a peaceful solution.
We urge the US Government, and especially Secretary Clinton, to implement the June 1st Washington, D.C Court of Appeals ruling and to lift the unjust terrorist designation of the PMOI.
The US and UN should take necessary steps to ensure the safety, security and rights of Ashraf and Liberty residents.
In an act of good-will, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi made a courageous decision to break the current three-month deadlock and announced that the transfer of the sixth group of Ashraf residents to Liberty will commence on August 23rd.
We Egyptian Members of Parliament, while commending Mrs. Rajavi’s initiative, reiterate our support towards this step that will pull the rug from under the mullahs’ regime’s feet, which was plotting to destroy Ashraf residents. We urge international sides, which are represented by the US, UN and EU to live up to their responsibilities towards this initiative in seeking a peaceful solution.
The US and especially Secretary Clinton should implement the June 1st Washington, D.C Court of Appeals ruling and lift the unjust terrorist designation of the PMOI, that on one hand will be the basis of the defenseless residents’ security at Camp Liberty and pave the way for their resettlement to third countries, and on the other hand show US’ respect for the rule of law.
