According to the Iraqi News Agency Involving Iranian regime in the issue of PMOI and Ashraf is violation of commitments and obligations. Dr. Zafer al-Ani, an al-Iraqiya leader, said: Remarks by Martin Kobler during his visit from Tehran regarding calling Iranian regime’s role in Iraq as positive, causes provoking Iraqis feelings that are burning daily in direct Iranian meddling’s fire.
These remarks are supporting the henchman against the victim and also meddling in details of Internal Iraqi affairs. I am amazed by the negotiations underway about Iraq’s internal affairs and the issue of PMOI and Ashraf and Camp Liberty. This issue is an internal Iraqi affair and there has been an agreement with the government of Iraq. Making Iran a party in this issue means that Martin Kobler has offered Iraq’s national interests to the Iranian regime at no cost. I hope that political forces stand firmly against such illegal meddling. Kobler’s biased measures for Iran caused a rush in transfer of PMOI members from Ashraf to Camp Liberty despite not readiness of Camp Liberty. This is a clear favoritism from the UN for Tehran’s regime and breach of commitments and obligations. We demand the special representative be impartial and prevents Iranian regime’s meddling in such issues and respects his obligations based on his responsibilities.
