Day 30 of Camp Liberty hunger strike

INTV, 30 Sep 2013 – Camp Liberty residents on Day 30 of their hunger strike held a ceremony in memory of the martyrs of the September 1 massacre in Ashraf and insisted on continuing their hunger strike until their final demands are met, being the release of the seven Ashrafi hostages and providing security for PMOI members in Camp Liberty.
A month into this hunger strike most of the participants have become extremely weak physically and lost a significant amount of weight. Symptoms such as weakness and dizziness are seen in many of the Liberty residents on hunger strike.
Despite all the physical difficulties, the passage of 30 days has only strengthened the hunger striking residents’ will in Liberty.
