On Thursday, October 6th, families of Ashraf residents along with supporters of the PMOI and Iranian Resistance staged Day 167 of their Geneva sit-in outside the UN European HQ. The participants were calling on the UN to guarantee protection for Ashraf residents.
They also demanded a constant UN monitoring team to station in Camp Ashraf. A similar protest gathering was held outside the office of the UN High Commission for Refugees, with the protesters also calling on the UN High Commission for Human Rights to send its observers to Ashraf to guarantee the protection of the residents
