In London, Lord Corbett, chairman of the British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom, congratulated this event to the PMOI in Ashraf and the President-elect of the PMOI.
Robin Corbett said: “The ruling of the UK court reflects the will of the Iranian people and is a response to the request of the British members of parliament. This ruling will pave the way for removing obstacles from the path of the Iranian resistance and for the overthrow of the mullahs ruling Iran.
The British government and the European Union must stand now by the Iranian people and resistance for establishing freedom and democracy. Iran will be free. The British government has no way other than complying with the ruling of the UK court.
I want to write a letter to home Secretary today and remind him of what he had promised; he had said that he would respect the court’s ruling. This ruling was the demand of over 200 members of the British parliament.
The real terrorists are ruling Iran and are considered as threats. The resistance which is fighting against this regime is our friend. Iran is moving on the path of freedom and the victory in the British court for removing the terrorist designation of the PMOI on this historic day promises the end of the mullahs’ regime.
Lord Slynn of Hadley, the former Judge of the European Court of Justice and the distinguished jurist from the U.K. in his speech from Auers-sur- Oise said:
“To implement the rule of law, the European Union must make it clear now that who should be placed in the terrorist list and who shouldn’t. The British government and the Council of ministers of the European Union have to submit to the firmness of various courts’ rulings. This council cannot unilaterally and intractably make decisions and ignore the justice.
The PMOI has had nothing to do with terrorism. Therefore, we hope the court’s ruling leads to the annulment of the terrorist designation. “
Lord Slynn highlighted the role of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi in conducting the campaign which ended to the rulings by the UK court for annulment of the terrorist designation of the PMOI.
He said: “We owe Mrs. Maryam Rajavi for this victory. “
