On the 98th day of sit-in of the Iranian Resistance supporters in Geneva, David Ames, member of British House of Commons, Mogens Camre, representative of European Parliament from Denmark, Mrs. Marjan, Iranian artist, and Fereidun Jourak, cinema director, participated to express their solidarity with the rally participants.

In her speech, Mrs. Marjan said: “We all continue to the end until complete guarantee of Ashraf protection is provided by the US forces in Iraq.”

Mr. David Ames said: “Based on the international law, the US forces are obliged to undertake Ashraf protection. Transfer of Ashraf protection poses serious threats to its residents, and the UN is bound to guarantee the international law. That is why we are standing in front of this building and persistently want that the legal rights of Ashraf be guaranteed.”

Referring to his recent trip to Ashraf City along with a high ranking EP delegation, Mogens Camre, member of European Parliament and deputy chairman of “the group of Union of Europe for Nations, appreciated the steadfastness of the sit-in participants. He referred to the concerning situation as to the transfer of Ashraf protection and emphasized that at present condition of Iraq, transfer of Ashraf protection could lead to a human catastrophe. He said: “Since the situation of Ashraf City is the outcome of occupation of Iraq by the US forces in 2003, so long as the US forces stay in Iraq, they are responsible for the protection of Ashraf according to International Law.
