Dr. Ahmad al-Alwani, Chairman of the Iraqi Parliament Economy Commission condemned any kind of attack and aggression against Ashraf residents’ rights and stressed, “Such attacks are in violation of all human rights standards.”
“The siege on Ashraf residents, meaning individuals who are considered refugees under international law, is in violation of this law,” he added. “Currently, they have deprived Ashraf residents of all their rights. We will not allow such aggressions to take place.”
