In a letter, the Association of Independent Iraqi Jurists, on behalf of 12000 Iraqi lawyers and Jurists, congratulated approval of the de-proscription bill of the PMOI in the British Parliament and wrote: We evaluate this great victory is a strategic achievement that will leave tremendous impacts on the trend of coming political developments, because it is common knowledge now that the infamous designation of the PMOI took place in a dirty deal between the British government and the clerical regime in order to enchain the only democratic alternative of that regime.
