Ashraf residents protected by international laws: Iraqi MP

Senior Iraqiya Coalition member Hamed al-Mutlaq stressed “Ashraf residents are under the protection of international laws and no one has the right to carry out any kind of aggression against them.”
“The Iranian regime is playing an important role in Iraq’s insecurity because of its plots that are aimed at expanding its influence in Iraq,” al-Mutlaq said while condemning the assassination of renowned Iraqi journalist Hadi al-Mehdi. “This regime attempts to carry out its plans through the use of force, as it has done in the case of artillery shelling against the Iraqi Kurdistan regions.”
Hamed al-Mutlaq emphasized on the importance of bringing an end to this meddling, calling any hesitation in this regard as treason against the Iraqi people.”
