Families of Ashraf residents along with prominent religious figures staged a gathering outside the United Nations Headquarters in New York demanding protection for their loved ones in Camp Ashraf in Iraq.
We have numerous activities to concentrate on protection for Ashraf residents, Reverend David Lowry said while participating in this demonstration. He added the Ashraf supporters have to this day seen various replies from the UN which of course are not enough. The US State Department and the US government are responsible regarding the protection of Ashraf, the reverend continued, demanding UN monitors must station in Ashraf to guarantee the protection of the camp residents.
