Arab Counsel in defense of Ashraf: We condemn designation of Camp Liberty as Temporary Transit Location by Iraq and UNSG Martin Kobler, since all the evidences indicate that the residents should stay in Camp Liberty for several years. Therefore we call on the UN and UNHCR to recognize Camp Liberty as a refugee camp under international protection.
We call on United Nations Secretary General and the government of United States to play their role in ending the restrictions, obstructions, stonewalling, persecutions and violating the laws and compel Iraq to stop these inhumane measures.
