Ambassador Richardson at NY rally: Let’s stand strongly, what we need is for the United Nations to declare Camp Liberty an official refugee camp

Rouhani no, Rouhani no, Rouhani no, Maryam Rajavi yes, Maryam Rajavi yes.
Ambassador Richardson said during a rally in front of the UN General Assembly: “I have been a member of your movement and our movement for four years now. And I was your ambassador to the United Nations in the Clinton administration and one of our strong points was protection of human rights. And Rouhani is terrible on human rights. Thousands have been killed, one thousand hanged one every seven hours, you have terrorism in Iran, you have nuclear proliferation, and today Rouhani went to the U.N. and he said he wanted to fight the terrorists, but what he did not say is his regime is terrorist. What he did not say is that he is violating human rights, what he did not say is that ISIS and ISIL have been spawn and promoted by the regime in Iran.
Now what I want to just say to you is this, I know there is a lot of strategic issues and president Obama, I felt was very strong when he talked about the fight against terrorism, but there is also human beings at Camp Liberty that cannot be forgotten. There are human beings that over 116 of them unarmed have been killed, over 116. We must protect the men and women of Camp Liberty.
Let’s stand strongly. Now what we need is for the United Nations to declare Camp Liberty an official refugee camp, an official refugee camp, so it gets protection, so it gets strong commitments and any violation of Camp Liberty is a violation of international human rights. we have also got to get rid of that bad committee that was going to eliminate Camp Ashraf, get rid of that committee and find ways, find ways that the new regime in Iraq respects the rights of those men and women that of today at Camp Liberty.
I think it is also very important that we recognize that this fight against ISIS, that Iran is no friend of the United States, that Iran is no friend of the coalition, that Iran does not want to stop its nuclear proliferation, that Iran is continuing to violate the human rights of the people of Iran.
And most importantly there is an alternative, the alternative is the opposition, the alternative is the MEK, the alternative is democracy and human rights and young people like the ones that are here and young people like you, you are all young people. We are all young people because we care about liberty and human rights.
So I will continue my fight with you, we will continue in the media, in the press, in the Democratic party that I am a member, but it is important that this be a fight of all Americans, Republican, democrat, independent and the international community .
The United Nations, this week in the General Assembly, 120 leaders were there and I know they heard your voices, I know they heard about Camp Liberty. And I know a majority said deep down probably quietly to Rouhani, we do not believe you, we stand behind the people of Camp Liberty, we stand behind “Iran opposition”, we stand for human rights.
Ones again thank you for inviting me, but I am glade to always be with you.
God bless the opposition in Iran.
Let’s fight for democracy in Iran.
Let’s send a big shout of approval for Maryam Rajavi.”
