Thousands of Shahroud University Students (in Khorasan province, northeastern Iran) staged anti-government demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday and clashed with the oppressive State Security Forces (SSF).

On Sunday, the protesting students first gathered in Shahrivar 17th street and chanted “Student will die, but will never be abjected”, ” Sit-in goes on until we achieve our goal” and ” University president, resign, resign”.

The suppressive State Security Force agents attacked brutally the students in this confrontation, injured some and arrested a number of others.

The Shahroud University students announced they would continue their demonstration until they achieve their demands.
