According to received reports, despite all suppressive measures by the clerical regime on May Day, the Sanandaj (western Iranian city) workers gathered in the central street of the city, Enqelab Avenue.

They chanted slogans supporting detained workers and asked for their release. While the workers were surrounded by the state suppressive agents they released a statement and persisted on their demands. The state security forces arrested three protesting workers.
Sanandaj workers tried to gather in several other places in the city but they were faced and blocked by the security agents.
