The Governorate of Cuneo that governs 250 municipalities in Italy called on the Council of Ministers and the Foreign Minister of Italy to take urgent action for the release of seven Camp Ashraf hostages..
In a press release dated November 26, 2013 the Governmental Council of Cuneo wrote: “The tyrannical massacre in Camp Ashraf which unfolded on September 1 shocks any freedom-loving conscious. Iraqi security forces entered the camp and blatantly wanted to annihilate all 100 residents of Ashraf. They barbarically killed 52 of them and on that same day abducted seven residents and took them hostage, six women and one man. According to reports, they are detained in al-Harout prison in the Baghdad Airport area and there is a dire risk for them to be extradited to Iran where barbaric tortures and death awaits them.”
