Despite threats and suppressive measures by the Iranian regime, over 200 female teachers form Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, Khorasan, Qazvin, and Azerbaijan demonstrated in front of Majlis(Iran’s parliament) on behalf of the contract teachers across Iran. A group of retired teachers joined the protesters too.

The teachers said: This gathering took place at a condition that the intelligence and security organs , through telephone calls or personal, asked the teachers not to gather. they threatened that any gathering would be considered a measure against the national security and would be severely dealt with.

The teachers said that if their demands are not to be met, they will gather again on coming Monday.
