More than 1000 students of Bahonar University in Kerman, southern Iranian city, staged anti-government demonstration and sit-in for the second consecutive day.

This sit-in took place in protest against food poisoning of 800 students of that university. The students who had staged the sit-in in front of the Vahdat Hall of the University, chanted ” impotent official, resign, resign” and asked for scrutiny of their problems.

Students said based on the Afzalipour hospital records, the number of food poisoned students was 800, some of whom are in critical conditions. In another show of protest, more than 100 students lay down in front of the main entrance gate and blocked the traffic.
